Cutting

Normally, we use three ways of cutting in our factory. One is flame cutting, one is plasma cutting, and the other is laser cutting.

Flame cutting is an effective and efficient way to cut carbon and alloy steel plate By heating a spot on the edge or surface of a plate with an oxygen-fuel flame or an oxygen-gas flame. Flame cutting is mainly used in cutting heavy plates. The cutting range is very wide, from 6mm-200mm. We have 3 flame cutting machines and very skillful cutters who have been in this line for 15 years.

Plasma cutters use electricity to superheat air into plasma, which is then blown through the metal to be cut. The material that can be cut by plasma is steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and other conductive metal. Plasma cutting is widely used in manufacturing, auto maintaining, industrial construction, salvaging, and rejection. Its advantages are fast, low-cost, and accurate. Its processing range is from 38mm to 150mm.

Laser cutting means cutting a sheet with a high-density laser light beam. The temperature will reach the boiling point within a very short time. And the high-speed air which is at the same axle as the light beam will blow off the molten matter, thus the plate is cut into the shape you want. It can be widely used in two-dimensional marking and cutting. The processing thickness of the plate is up to 6mm. The parts processed by laser cutting can reach a high precision.

Flame Cutting

Flame cutting is a common metal cutting method that uses high-temperature flames to melt and oxidize metal materials, thereby achieving the purpose of cutting. Flame cutting has the following functions in metal processing:

Cutting metal plates: Flame cutting can cut metal plates, cutting large-sized metal plates into the required size and shape. It can be applied to various metal materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, etc.

Fast cutting: Flame cutting has a high cutting speed and is suitable for fast cutting of thicker metal materials. Compared to other cutting methods, flame cutting can provide higher production efficiency and processing speed.

Wide adaptability: Flame cutting is suitable for cutting metal materials of various shapes and sizes, and can cut various shapes such as flat plates, circles, trapezoids, etc. At the same time, flame cutting is also suitable for metal materials of different thicknesses, which can cut thinner metal plates and thicker metal materials.

Low cost: Compared to other high-precision cutting methods, flame cutting equipment and operating costs are lower, making it suitable for some application scenarios with relatively low requirements for cutting accuracy. It can achieve metal cutting needs at a lower investment cost.

Widely used: Flame cutting is widely used in the manufacturing industry in metal processing, such as steel structures, shipbuilding, metal processing, bridge construction, and other fields. It can meet the needs of different industries for metal material cutting.

Flame cutting has certain limitations, such as relatively low cutting accuracy and rough cutting surfaces. For applications that require high cutting accuracy, other high-precision cutting methods may be required, such as laser cutting, plasma cutting, etc. Therefore, when selecting cutting methods, it is necessary to make reasonable choices based on specific processing requirements and quality standards.

Plasma Cutting

Laser cutting means cutting a sheet with a high-density laser light beam. The temperature will reach the boiling point within a very short time. The material is vaporizing and becomes steam. The steam is blown off at a very high speed, and at the same time, a cut will be formed in the metal.

The principle of laser cutting is using a high-power laser beam to focus on the spot and make the material melt, vaporize, ablate, or reach the burning point at a fast speed. And at the same time, the high-speed air flow which is at the same axle as the beam blows off the molten matter to cut the material.

Compares with other cutting methods, laser cutting is faster and has better quality.

We have three laser-cutting machines. The cutting range is from 0.3mm to 80mm.

Laser Cutting

Plasma cutting is a process of cutting electricity-conducting material by speeding up a hot plasma flow. It can be used to cut steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper and other electricity-conducting metal. It is widely used in manufacturing, auto maintaining, industrial construction, salvaging and rejection. Its advantages are fast, low-cost and accurate. Its processing range is from 5mm to 150mm.

The temperature of the electricity-conducting gas can be as high as 30,000℃, which makes the cutting so special that it is an efficient way to cut metal light or heavy. The manual partition usually is used to cut 38mm plates, while the CNC partition can be used to cut 150mm thick plates. Because during the cutting, there will be an extremely hot cone on the spot, it is very useful to cut and weld curved or angular-shaped plates.

We have two CNC plasma cutting machines, the cutting range of which is 5-40mm.

Cnc Intersecting Line Cutting

Flame cutting is an effective and efficient way to cut carbon and alloy steel plate By heating a spot on the edge or surface of a plate with an oxygen-fuel flame or an oxygen-gas flame. Flame cutting is mainly used in cutting heavy plates. The cutting range is very wide, from 6mm-200mm.

It has certain disadvantages: the time of preheating and perforating is very long, so the speed of cutting is slow; deforming is evident especially when cutting the sheet 0.5-6mm thick; can’t be used to cut nonferrous metal such as copper, aluminum, etc.

A number of variables that will determine the outcome of cutting. These include specifics like the size and design of the cutting tip; the pressure and volume of the gases; the speed of the cut. However, it is the skill and experience of the burner that will decide what to choose to overcome the more subjective conditions. The temperature of the plate, internal soundness, chemistry, and surface scale – all of these can have an effect.

Xinao has 2 flame-cutting machines, operated by burners with an average of 15 years’ experience. In addition to being experts on lighter plates, our burners routinely cut grades from 5 to 40mm thick.
